Narendra Modi launched Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana on 22nd January 2015 in Panipat Haryana. This scheme is a part of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campigon. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a saving scheme launched by Indian government.
In this scheme, parents will save some money for female child for her future. This fund will help parents for future the future education as well as marriage of their daughter. This scheme provides a very good interest. Interested candidate can open this account at any India Post office as well as branch of authorised commercial banks.

Rules For Open The Account
- You can open the account anytime between the birth of a girl child and the time she attains 10 years age by the guardian.
- You can open only one account for one child.
- Parents can open a maximum of two accounts for each of their children.
- Parents can transfer the account anywhere in India.
- Initially, parents must deposit Rs 1000 in the account.
- After it parents can deposit any amount in multiples of Rs 100.
- Parents can not deposit more than Rs 150,000.
- If parents don’t deposit minimum Rs 1000 in a year, then it will charge Rs 50 as fine.
- The girl is eligible to operate her account when she reaches the age of 10.
- When girls reaches the age of 18 then parents can withdraw 50% of money for her higher education.
- If the girl is more than 18 years and married. In this can you can close the account.
Required Documents To open Sukanya Samriddhi Account
- Birth certificate of the girl child.
- Sukanya Samriddhi Account Opening Form.
- Identity proof of parents like Pan Card, Adhar Card, driving licence, passport.
- Address proof of parents.
