Manaswini Scheme
Manaswini Yojana The state government of Karnataka has started jointly with the Department of Revenue for divorced or unmarried women. Under this scheme, the state government provides monthly pension of Rs 500 to unmarried / divorced poor women.
The women who are unmarried or divorced in this scheme and are living below poverty line are eligible for pension under MNSVini scheme. In this scheme, unmarried or divorced women above 65 years of age, eligible for financial assistance under the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme.
Krishi Bhagya Scheme
The Karnataka State Government has started as a major scheme for revolutionary change in agriculture sector in Karnataka called ‘Krishi Bhagya Yojana‘. Under this scheme, the government is committed to creating sustainable agricultural practices and better water management and irrigation facilities in the state by creating new technology and equipment by increasing productivity in the agricultural sector. In Karnataka, 70% of farmers depend on rain water for their crops.
In these rainfed fields, there is no reliable means of irrigation during dry period. Crop is not able to get enough amount of water during critical time. Due to low rainfall, loss or low yield reduces farming in an unstable proportion.
Ksheera Bhagya Scheme
Ksheera Bhagya Yojana On 1 August 2013, the Karnataka State Government, in collaboration with Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (KMF), was started with the support of all the milk union for the children of the state and anganwadi children. This scheme has been started under Education Department and Women and Child Department of Karnataka.
Under this scheme, the government also provides free milk to the school and Anganwadi for five days a week. The main objective of this scheme is to prevent malnutrition in children and to improve the nutrition and health status of the children of Karnataka State. Students from 1 to 10th class of government aided schools and children of Anganwadi will get benefit under this scheme.
Anna Bhagya Scheme
After a lot of waiting by the state government of Karnataka, with the support of the Civil Supplies and Consumer Department, Gana Bhagya started a scheme. Under the Anna Bhagya Yojana, the Karnataka Government has distributed free grains to the BPL families in the state.
For the people below poverty line, the government has provided free rice. In the state budget recently, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had improved the Gyan Bhagya Yojna and now a member of the family will also get 7 kilograms of rice, whereas the family of 10 members will get rice The month will get 70 kg of rice.
The purpose of this scheme is to provide subsidized rice to the target families living below the poverty line. The price of food is increasing day by day. Gas Bhagya Scheme
The state government of Karnataka has announced a new scheme named ‘Gan Bhagya Yojana‘ for women. Under this scheme, the State Government provides the cooking stove. In this scheme goverment will also give free LPG gas to the woman which is related to BPL below (BPL). This scheme is likely to benefit about 40% of the households of approximately 10 million BPL families in Karnataka state.
This scheme helps women who used to cook kerosene using oil, wood, paper, and dung extract and crop residues. The main objective of this scheme is to provide a non-smoking as well as healthy environment for women across the country. Many women across the country are still facing bad health effects due to the smoke emitted by burning fire burning wood in this modern era. Shaadi Bhagya scheme
